Keep defending the piece, then, and keep characterizing us as shrill. Why not?

You clearly have no interest in listening to people in the communities this writer chose to write about.

If every transgender woman I know is upset about the piece, that means something.

And it doesn’t mean I’m shrill.

It means there’s something deeply offensive about the piece. So, instead of instructing LGBTQ people on how you think we’re supposed to feel, you should try listening to us instead.

You might learn something.
