Just some choice excerpts:

"So many black people. I feel like I'm at the zoo."

"Bro, I field goal kicked his head."

"Glad you're having fun, babe."

That's the culture. That's tacitly accepted police culture. Anyone who talks about just a few bad apples is ignoring police culture, which is both racist and brutal.

What makes this incident so revealing is that these cops were communicating in a way in which they knew for sure that most other cops in the department were watching but which they thought was secure from the public.

So many cops got in on the racism and celebration of brutality for fun. This is who cops are. This is what cops are. Day in, day out.

We need radical reform and a top to bottom house cleaning of departments around the U.S.

Will we get it?

Not unless more of us start accepting how severe the problem is.
