Just imagine that a teenager goes to school and church and learns she is "defiled" and "impure" and discloses to a friend that she intends to kill herself over that.

Then imagine that after her hospitalization, the SAME PEOPLE keep counseling her that she is defiled and impure.

And then imagine those people say, after her death, that they were simply sharing with her the "peace and beauty" of "Christian chastity."

Yup, no apology, just a doubling down.

I'm so pleased that the National Catholic Reporter, led by Catholic lay people, has been on this case for years, working hard to expose the consistent, evil homophobia of Catholic nuns and priests.
