Just as terroristic as the people sending the false message and inflaming violence are the social media platforms that let them do it.

I cannot for the life of me understand why Twitter lets LibsOfTikTok have an account and sow terror.

All summer long, she directed violence against Pride events, with her "flying monkeys," the Proud Boys, showing up at every event she tweeted about. An LGBTQ youth community center in suburban Ontario shut down for a while due to death threats and bomb threats. An FBI source told my editor at the LA Blade that they were investigating the threats and believed with "near certainty" that they came from the Proud Boys inspired by LibsOfTikTok.

When she started tweeting about Boston Children's, some healthcare professionals left town for a while out of fear, appointments for children with cancer were delayed, and people began to urge Twitter to take action.

They have categorically refused.

They did suspend her account last week temporarily for misgendering someone, but not for her campaign against children's hospitals.

The people who won Twitter are cravenly evil. That's not an exaggeration. They see accounts like this engaging in behavior that will result in violence, and they choose to do nothing.

Because they are terrible, vicious, immoral people – slaves to earnings statements and executive salaries. That's really the long and short of it.
