Just as a side note, the Jesuits are despicably dangerous as Catholics pushing Catholic doctrine. The Catholic Church teaches that gay people are depraved and disordered, using extraordinarily ugly language to describe us to people. Jesuits, including Pope Francis, are the urbane face of that religious evil. Jesuits pride themselves on being highly educated and thinking deeply, but at heart they're just disgusting homophobic pigs.

And they tried the best they can to make that look reasonable.

If you've met a Jesuit, you've met a disgusting piece of shit. Doubt me? Try to pin a Jesuit down, try really really hard to pin a Jesuit down about the language in the catechism that calls gay people depraved and disordered.

The longer you have a conversation with said Jesuit, no matter how supportive he says he is of queer people, the more you realize you're having a conversation with a deranged piece of religious shit who's been taught very well to cover up what a piece of shit he is.

When it comes right down to it, that Jesuit had to affirm the vicious anti-Queer language of the Catholic Catechism. And just try getting him to say those teachings are wrong.
