Just a few days ago a man in the Chelsea neighborhood of Manhattan was severely beaten after he asked someone to wear a mask.

The beaten man happens to be the husband of Matt Foreman, a long time and influential LGBTQ-rights advocate, so the story made the news.

But I think things like this are going on a lot more than some of us realize.
