Jesus no more endorsed socialism than he did capitalism. Neither theory of economic thought existed at the time, and governments did not behave economically in the ways they do today.

Jesus did emphasize kindness to the stranger, healing of the sick, and compassion for all – regardless of national origin or religion.

His kindness to the Roman centurion and the slave boy he loved is an example that many people today could profit from pondering.
