I’ve often wondered why in other cultures homosexual behavior has been (or has seemed to have been) so much more prevalent. Perhaps more people than we imagine fall somewhere on a bisexual scale? But that really doesn’t explain the Greek thing. While sexual mentoring relationships weren’t required exactly among the ruling class, they were at least very, very common — more common probably than what we think can be explained by how many truly bisexual people are thought to exist today.
