I’ve noticed phenomena like that even with some of the most progressive denominations. The fact that the comments are allowed to stand says so much.

Can you imagine if overt racists made comments about the inferiority of Black people on a mainstream church website? I know for sure that such a thing would be tolerated.

Yet homophobic comments are routinely tolerated everywhere. All the time. By just about everyone.

That sends a message.
