I've just been reading up on this after reading your story. The news has made quite a splash, apparently. Even the Jerusalem Post is writing about it. I'd never heard of the book, though it certainly sounds interesting. It's hard to understand why anyone would find it controversial. The group has issued an apology to the author, and the Jewish Book Council is pressing for her to be reinvited. I hope that happens.
