I've heard it said that without San Francisco and Los Angeles, California is Texas. I think that's probably a bit of an exaggeration, but the state certainly does have very conservative areas. I mean, one California school district not so far from Los Angeles erased Harvey Milk from their curriculum while passing new policies to censor libraries and classrooms. And there's a lot of pressure for that kind of thing in parts of San Diego too.

So it's good to see people like Kluwe fighting the good fight!
