I’ve clapped for your story because it contains links to important resources, but I clap with very important misgivings, McGraw-Hill.

Your company has been criticized in California and other states for reluctance about highlighting the achievements of LGBTQ historical figures.

While you made enough suggested changes to satisfy California a couple of years ago, state education authorities noted that you balked at full inclusiveness and refused to accept all their inclusiveness requests.

So, I have to wonder about this article you’re releasing on Medium at the start of Pride month.

Is this Pinkwashing?

Are you leveraging Pride in order to make your company look good? Or have you changed your corporate stance and decided to be a real ally to LGBTQ people?

Up until now, we’ve known you as a obstacle to overcome, and not as a friend.

Are you going to change that?
