I’ve been writing on Medium for a fair piece, and I’ve established a certain popularity. Sometimes I bare my soul. Sometimes I do journalism. Sometimes I write fiction.

I’ve found that people connect with what’s real. They appreciate sincerity and honesty.

They also want writing that takes them to places they haven’t been, but I don’t focus on giving them that. I write what I know and what I need to write. I do it honestly and with as much writing strength and grace as I can.

Then … people who want to know will come. Just like baseball. lol

Seriously, though, I write to be real and to be me. Popularity on Medium is a side effect.
