I've been enjoying Twitter memes in which people have put together and photographed large collections of beer bottles and cans celebrating Pride.

You pretty much can't drink beer if you want to limit your choices to beer made by companies that sometimes express support for trans people.

But then, Kid Rock got his message across loud and clear: hate trans people and be prepared to hurt them badly.

As a publicity stunt directed at his ultraconservative fan base, his video will probably connect. But will it have the effect of making more empathetic people sit up and take note of increasing waves of irrational hatred? I don't know. I hope so.
