I’ve also written about the meat packing district and know a lot about it. Just because people make you feel uncomfortable doesn’t mean they don’t have as much right as you have to use public sidewalks and streets, regardless of whatever rent you pay to live near those sidewalks and streets.

You know it’s LGBTQ New Yorkers who live there now who are pushing to abolish loitering laws, right?

If people commit crimes, they should be held to account. But existing in a public space must not ever be a crime.
