I’ve already read Tim’s excellent piece and highly recommend it. As a Michigan resident I’m shocked by what’s going on up here in the north of the state where I live.

We have always been a peaceful, kind society. Michigan is a great place to live, and it’s shocking to see a misogynistic, racist militia movement taking root. But the fact that it is is indisputable. A sitting sheriff in a county near me has spoken out to defend the right of these men to “arrest” the governor for her supposed crimes.

That’s how far we are down the rabbit hole.
