It's worth noting that the same political forces arguing that parents should have the right to ban books from libraries and classrooms for all students are ALSO arguing that parents must NOT have the right to pursue medically accepted care for their transgender children.

Let it be noted that none of this is truly about parental liberty. All of it is about conservative forces demanding to parent other people's children.

That's before we even START talking about how trans youth should enjoy innate human rights independent of their parents.
