It's very hard for me to understand why some LGB people feel threatened by transgender people. Trans people make up less than 1% of the population. As far back as we can look in history, trans people have existed across cultures. In pretty much every corner of the globe.

Being trans is a common human experience for a very small percentage of people. Historically, trans people have played important roles in modern queer liberation, starting as early as the 19th century.

Trans people just want to live their lives in peace. They want to hold their heads up high and live lives full of dignity and love, just like the rest of us.

They don't deserve to be met with the kind of panic and disinformation this "New GLF" is spreading. They look like they're just parroting talking points by a more infamous group in the UK, which has become something like a global center of hatred toward transgender people.

None of this should be happening.
