It's very difficult to break the rules, though, even when they are not explicitly taught. I think misogyny is one of the main reasons men have a hard time breaking out of rigid, traditional roles.

When we try to, we're derided as feminine, as if that's the worst thing someone could possibly be. Even women will do this.

Since we live in a misogynistic society in which women are valued less than men, acting like a woman, whatever that means, is a high crime.
