It's really scary for us in the United States to see that happening across the Atlantic. For now, our major media (Fox excepted) are at least middling OK on trans issues. PBS and NPR are often very good. NBC does a nice job, and CNN and MSNBC do too.

The New York Times isn't great, but they aren't horrible, with the odd exception now and then that raises fears of the current right-wing anti-LGBTQ backlash infecting the Old Gray Lady.

In some respects, many of us are waiting for the other shoe to drop, asking ourselves if things are going to get as bad in mainstream media circles over here as they seem to be now in the UK.
