It’s really about basic civility and decency, isn’t it? When that guy at the airport called you sir, he wasn’t making a mistake, he was attacking you.

He was telling you he doesn’t approve of who you are, as if that’s any of his business.

He was judging you as a person.

Should we have patience for that?

I think basic civility is not too much to expect under any circumstances.
