It's okay, James. I've been to more Pride marches and festivals than I can count, and haters always come. Always. Always. Always.

That's probably a goodness. They teach us by their presence how strong and determined we must become and remain. They show us the nature always remain fighters ... warriors for truth, goodness, and human decency.

They show us how much work remains for us to be accepted as good, upstanding neighbors and humans. They helpfully remind us that they won't go down without a fight.

That can be discouraging, but it doesn't have to be. Of course, discouraging or not, it's very important for us to see and know!
