It’s odd, even though I live in a small village in Michigan, with a general purpose shop that people often use rather than driving all the way to a grocery store, the shop seems almost intentionally poorly accessible by foot.

Rather than being in the village, it’s a couple hundred meters or so up the highway. People rarely walk, and those who might feel inclined to are not going to let small children walk, because of the danger of the aforementioned highway.

It’s a shame.
