It's not so much that it's against our rules. We actually try to avoid rules in favor of guidelines for usual practices. It's just that in this case, accepting your story now, because of some of the ways Medium works, would likely not be very helpful.

But I would love to pitch a new story idea at you. How about combining some of your experiences as a GSA facilitator with your thoughts on how to resist forced outing of queer kids?

I'm thinking about a story from one teacher to other teachers about how to effectively stand up for vulnerable students ... Even in the face of official opposition.

A lot of people are really floundering right now, and I mean by that that they're struggling to envision what positive resistance will look like over the next few years.

What really impressed me about both of your stories I've read so far is that you're not just bemoaning how bad things are. You're writing about how to make things better.

And I think you have a lot more to say from your experience as a classroom teacher to other classroom teachers.
