It’s interesting and disturbing that he chose the word histrionics. While histrionics is not etymologically related to hysteria, which is a blatantly sexist term rooted in the Greek word for uterus, most people think the words are connected.
But even without the connection, histrionics, which refers to an overdramatic presentation, is sexist, relying on the tired trope that women are subject to dramatic outbursts and are inherently less rational and stable than men.
This sort of slur often extends to gay men, by the way.
It’s shocking to see sexism like this so blatantly flung about.
