It’s going to take lawsuits, I’m afraid, to force change. The law says the model policy doesn’t have to be adopted if existing policies are already more comprehensive than the model policy. It does not say the policies are optional or that districts are free to ignore them. I’m sorry you had to sit through all that hate!
