It’s time we start telling our stories, because this year is the 25th anniversary of the introduction of effective combination therapies that turned HIV infection into a manageable condition.

Many gay artist and others touched by HIV have felt too traumatized before now to effectively deal with those years.

But it’s time. It’s past time.

And I’m just thrilled to see Davies kick it off so well. In the vernacular of American baseball, he hit it out of the park.

And even though I can’t watch some of the scenes without sobbing, I’m so glad he did.
