It’s dystopian and oddly quiet. “Oh, it’s just the culture wars,” yawn people with not skin in the game. “Don’t you have something more interesting to write about? Like maybe kill switches on tractors in Ukraine?”

Or, as somebody literally tweeted to me yesterday, “You’re feeding doomscroll culture. Please write about more positive things.”

I can’t even …
