It's a neat rhetorical trick these anti-trans folks have latched on to, isn't it? Sowing fear of trans women is what they do, even though trans women suffer frequent violence for being trans in public, and even though violence committed by trans women is so vanishingly rare that it's statistically insignificant.

The best the antis can come up with is that cis men might impersonate trans women in order to do violence against women. But ... that doesn't happen either. And why would it? Men don't need to impersonate women to assault women.

That's not how it works.
