It would be awfully nice if he addressed, rather than his agonizing personal place, the great harm he has done supporting a party that has fought against LGBTQ equality tooth and nail. While he focuses on his personal pain resulting from a lifetime of hiding in a closet while sexually imposing himself on young men, countless numbers of LGBTQ people who had the courage to come out suffered due to the policies that he helped impose on the nation.

There’s a special place in hell reserved for gay Republicans. But for closeted gay Republican activists like Weaver, one hopes that place is especially hot.
