It sounds to me like you are saying that you are willing to forgive LGBTQ people for the fact that we are sexual sinners.

Understand that LGBTQ people find that position deeply insulting. We utterly reject it.

We do not require forgiveness because nothing about what we do sexually is a sin. Nothing.

Anyone who says otherwise, including you if that is your position, is a deeply disrespectful homophobic bigot.

So I hope you edit your article to make it clear that LGBTQ people are not sinners and do not require any form of forgiveness from anyone.
