It seems as if the Government's claim to be safeguarding trans kids really means safeguarding them from becoming trans or remaining trans — a position rooted in evidently deliberate ignorance of the realities of trans lives and experiences.

This is what results from years of loudly "just asking questions" that are disingenuous, often mocking, and in no way rooted in a sincere desire to learn or empathize.

Depressing indeed!
