It is sad, but you know, there’s a fight raging within organized Christianity — a fight led by our LGBTQ siblings who identify as Christian, to excise the demons of queer stigmatization and oppression. I’m not Christian, but I can’t help but root for queer Christians like these two women. I have mixed feelings also about their decision to expose their daughter to hateful teachings, but I have to give them the benefit of the doubt — as my sisters — that they know what they are doing.
