Isn’t that something, Esther? I do love Tolkien’s sentiment. I love his heros, great and small. Sam was perhaps an even bigger hero than Frodo. Sam didn’t have the ring, of course, or the compulsion to which the ring drove poor Frodo.
Sam followed for nothing but love and purity of heart.
