Ironically (maybe) the Comstock Act can no longer be used to ban the mailing of sexually explicit books or magazines, because the Supreme Court stepped in to defend freedom of speech.

The irony? The same court overturned their previous ruling that women have a Constitutional right to control their own bodies and reproductive functions — a right that could not be more basic and critical.

The court is busy returning us to a time where Christians and controlling prudes like Comstock used the law to impose their grotesque beliefs on the rest of us

For practically all of my life, the Comstock Act was nothing but a quaint artifact of ancient history.

Now it's in play again. I'm astonished and appalled. I hope most of my fellow Americans are too. Some of a seriously need to wake the hell up!
