Ironically, homeschooling is very popular among the sort of Christians who kick gay kids out of school.

And you know what? Many homeschool kids do better academically than kids at traditional schools. It’s not that homeschooling is superior, it’s just that many kids thrive when they’re working at their own pace with one-on-one assistance.

I think some folks over in England call that the Oxford method. ;-)

Of course in that circumstance, the one-on-one assistance is coming from a PhD. Lol

But I think your point is well taken; going by the numbers, your friend does not have a lot to worry about.

Her boys are probably going to do very well. People are resilient, especially children.
