Interestingly or not, scholars of the Bible believe Job is the oldest book in the Old Testament, going by when it was written down. It uses an older style of ancient Hebrew by far than the first five books, which scholars believe were not compiled from oral and early written tradition until the second Babylonian exile, which they say probably explains why some obvious Sumerian myth made it into Genesis.

But anyway, back to Job, the oldest book in the Bible by far. A lot of the Hebrew words in Job are so old scholars don't know what they mean. The word some English-language Bibles translate as unicorn is one of those words.

Hundreds of years ago, somebody decided to translate it as unicorn, the same word that medieval myth used for a magical, one-horned creature – with quite different cultural origins than a hazy mention of a creature in Job.

Ken Ham and company are hanging their ideas about unicorns on nothing but that, on an old English translation of an ancient Hebrew text, about a word that fell out of use in Hebrew so long ago that nobody knows what it means.
