Interestingly, “for work reasons" implies a certain reticence about being open about being queer.

I know in the U.S., lots of gay people are discreet about their personal identities on Grindr, believing an open profile there would give the wrong professional impression. But I don’t know any straight people who feel they need to hide their identity on OkCupid “for work reasons.”

Just another example of queer folks feeling the need to be underground.
