Interesting. I run into gynophile and androphile often enough, and they remind me of the briefly popular homophile that failed to emerge from the 50s and 60s.

But I don't know I've ever seen gynophiliac or androphiliac.

I suppose the different ending is correct and appropriate, but it evokes a sort of creepy clinical feeling in me, tbh. Because of how the ending is often used to describe pathology.

Curious.
