Indeed. Where I live, the death-cult madness is endemic. Simple mask mandates that inconvenience practically no one arouse fury.
Here’s a highlight of the nonsense. One member of a crowd calling for the blood of a county health official who ruled children must wear masks in school said this:
“My children and I are not in imminent danger by this virus, by freely breathing the air that God created through the lungs that God created and with the immune system that God created. I stand here today to say that forcing the masking of our children is against my religious rights and is an unlawful order under my First Amendment rights to religious freedoms and the Michigan Civil Rights Act.”
Normally, nonsense like that would be laughed off, but the Republican crowd was unified behind that idea — so much so that the aforementioned public health official was kept away from the public meeting out of concerns for his personal safety.
Given the reaction of the crowd, those concerns were legitimate.
How did we get to this place? This place where simple precautions, where keeping children safe, results in fury and threats of violence?
