Indeed, though unfortunately, mainline Protestants represent a mere proportional sliver of practicing Christians in the United States. Conservative Christians who worship procreation make up the vast majority of practicing Christians in our country.

And while they mostly ignore their Churches' ignorant religious superstitions about having as many babies as possible, they don't ignore the theologies behind that idea, weaponizing them against queer people.

It always boggles my mind that a religion originally founded on universal love has become a faith based on ignorance, hatred, and persecution.

Christianity writ large is just thoroughly disgusting.

I do hope that mainline Protestants and other Christians who value love and diversity will one day dominate the Christian stage. But I don't have my hopes up. I'm all too familiar with how horrible and hateful most Christians are.

That's just the sad reality behind the religion. It has become mostly evil.
