Indeed, the liberty they seek is the liberty to control other people, to infringe on the liberty of other people. They demand the right to control what your children have access to in libraries.
They already have the right to supervise their own children's reading. If they want to keep their own children from reading certain books, they can already do that, for starters by simply looking at the books their children bring home and confiscating the ones they disapprove of.
But they are not content to supervise their own children's reading. They want their narrow-minded values and beliefs imposed on every parent's child — whether or not other parents agree.
And they frame this as liberty? Wow.
