Indeed, for years on Medium and social media, my profile tagline was "Uppity Faggot," and I've been considered returning to using it. But whether I do l or not, I still use "faggot" sometimes to refer to myself, not exactly in a reclamatory way, but as political speech — to make points about repression and oppression.
