Indeed. Every woman in Texas already has the freedom not to have an abortion if she does not want one.

The Texas legislature is not working to increase freedom, but to restrict it, to stop women who want abortions from having them.

They’re attempting to stop this freedom in a country where a large majority of people, and an even larger majority of women, say they support a woman’s right to choose abortion.

The Republican Texas state legislature is perfectly willing to abandon traditional concepts of law and order in order to take freedom away from people.

They’re also willing to prop up their majority in the legislature with gerrymandering that skews representation away from increasing numbers of Democratic voters in the state. While that kind of political trick actually is traditional, it in no way respects law and order.

Just another point.
