Indeed, doctors in the United States are ethically constrained from performing genital surgeries on trans people under the age of 18. Insurance companies won't pay for such surgeries. They simply do not happen.

Top surgery, or breast removal, is vanishingly rare for trans minors, and when it does happen, it's only with 16 or 17-year-olds. And when I say vanishingly rare, I mean perhaps one to three such procedures per year in the entire nation.

Of course, such surgeries are not done in school.

A certain elderly politician I can think of is clearly losing his marbles if he believes otherwise.

But then, he probably doesn't believe it. The truth has never influenced what comes out of his mouth.
