Indeed, but what makes me more angry about people defending Side B Christians, who are by definition homophobic bigots, is that the same people would never DARE defend racists that way. If we if learn somebody is racist, what do we do? In general, we let them know, straight up, that we hold them in contempt. Then we stand up, walk away, and never associate with them again.

We LGBTQ people don’t get that kind of allyship. Instead, we get silly terms like “Side B” to lessen the horror of bigotry,
