Indeed, and this is the exact response conservative communities are using to ban the Heartstopper webcomics from school and public libraries. Heartstopper (about and mostly directed to queer teenagers) is famously not sexual. Hand holding and kisses are as far as anything sexual extends in the series. It is far less sexual than mainstream teen romances nobody blinks an eyelash over.
But because the protagonist couple are two boys, and because other couples in the story are also queer, people are losing their shit over this very positive, very wholesome series of stories.
This is despite the fact that the author went out of her way not to shove sex in anybody's face. (And by the way, the storyline makes perfectly clear that the teen couples aren't just not talking about sex; they actually aren't having sex.)
The hypocrisy of the book banners is stunning.
