Indeed, and actually you just reminded me of a story I wrote not too long ago about an outspoken homophobic priest Pope Francis just promoted to bishop in Ohio.
This priest has published in an academic paper and in a self-published booklet on Amazon that gay men are incapable of experiencing the kind of true, genuine love that men and women feel for one another, so therefore gay men should be excluded from the Catholic priesthood because they don't have anything to truly sacrifice when they take their vows of celibacy.
He doesn't say so in as many words, but his unmistakable implication is that gay people are all about sex rather than love.
Hypersexualizing, indeed.
