In the county where I live and in most of the surrounding counties, two thirds or more of people voted for Trump.

I know up up close and personal how much they embrace science denialism, how much they approved of kids in cages, how much they approve of Trump’s misogyny, racism, homophobia and plain meanness.

Maybe I could pretend otherwise if I lived in an urban bubble. But I live here. And I’m scared and depressed.
