In our local elections last summer, the county sheriff’s office was up for grabs. I didn’t have any idea who to vote for. I had no clue about any of the three candidates running, and no matter how much I tried to figure it out online, I didn’t get any information that told me anything interesting outside of anodyne campaign slogans. So, I just didn’t vote.

What would the point have been? My vote would not have been informed so there was no point in casting it.

I think that happens a lot.
